Alan was a lot of things; mathematician , brilliant computer engineer, computer science theorist, son of a civil servant, and a gay man. He saved his nation and ultimately the entire world from a sadistic mad man, but sadly homosexuality is all his nation seemed to ultimately care about and did all they could to destroy him because of it.
